We are a team of music industry professionals who saw the need to shake up outdated modes of networking and set a new standard for building connections. In other words, we saw an opportunity to make our jobs easier and took it.

Why we made Ligo

Those of us working in the world of music deal with unique challenges. We rarely work alone: producing and bringing a single song to market could include dozens of people, each with their own specialized skill set and unique approach. So how do we find the people we need to make it happen? Where do we look when we are seeking someone who works within a specific genre, has a distinct personal style, a certain experience level or lives in a particular location? It gets complicated fast. Without a standard place to seek these connections, we’ve turned to search engines and other social media platforms which don’t produce ideal results and waste a lot of time. On the other side where people are just starting out, the high barrier to entry can make it feel impossible to make it anywhere. You might be exceptionally skilled, but how is anyone going to know that if they can’t see your best work? Where do you even put that work to be discovered? There is no standard practice for launching or growing your career in music. With so many scammers, how do you show your credibility? These issues form an unfortunate reality where compatible connections are missed and people continue to struggle with their respective problems. So how do we bring together the people who want to find each other and make great music? Ligo.
